The Road Race Trust
Showcasing the future stars of racing, right here in Aotearoa.
.
Fostering sportsmanship, rider development, and long-term participation in road racing, The Road Race Trust was founded by a passionate group of parents, racers, and industry professionals who share a vision: to create a safe, structured, and professionally run pathway for young New Zealanders to experience the thrill of motorcycle road racing.
Until now, options for young riders to race motorcycles in New Zealand have been limited. The Trust is proud to change that with the launch of the Pirelli MiniGP Race Series—a groundbreaking initiative designed to nurture the next generation of Kiwi racers.
The Pirelli MiniGP Race Series
This five-round championship is the first of its kind in Aotearoa, offering riders aged 7 and up the chance to compete on some of the best karting and racing venues in the central North Island. The final round will be held at the legendary Manfeild Back Track, our very own “MiniGP Cathedral of Speed.”
Each race weekend begins with a Saturday Trackday, featuring open practice sessions, practice starts in the afternoon and race licence assessments, ensuring a high standard of safety and skill from the very first lap. Sunday brings the main event: practice, qualifying, and adrenaline-filled races.
We also offer non-competitive classes for riders still developing their skills, ensuring every child has a place to grow and learn at their own pace.
